Research of the Working Conditions of Young Architects in the Czech Republic 2020 (Průzkum pracovních podmínek mladých architektů a architektek)
The research came about as the bottom-up activity of Alžběta Brůhová, Jakub Kopecký, Terezie Lokšová, Adéla Pečlová and Eliška Pomyjová, who decided to map the situation thoroughly on their own initiative in an interdisciplinary team.
Respondents of the survey are architects aged 22–35 who have completed their education and are working in the Czech Republic. The number of valid responses of which the study gathered 1 221 proves how topical this issue is. The sample is more or less gender-balanced, with 47% of men and 53% of women. The vast majority of respondents are between 26 and 33 years of age. Most of them completed their education with a master’s (engineering) degree.

European survey commissioned by ACE (Architects’ Council of Europe) undertaken by Mirza & Nacey Research Ltd. The survey has been conducted every two years since 2008. In 2022, it gathered 30 678 responses from 26 countries. The survey covers the architectural profession in Europe in general, including the market, practices and individuals.
